Fire Protection Systems Periodic Inspection
Fire protection and detection systems are inspected by assessing the facility project in conjunction with the on-site working conditions.

Which points are checked in fire protection systems?
In mechanical fire protection systems, water sources and storage tanks, fire and jockey pumps, valves, pressure and flow rates, sprinkler lines, hydrants, fire hose cabinets and test points are examined in relation to the system design. In special fire-suppression systems, the equipment and operational scenarios are assessed in accordance with their own technical scope.
The fire detection and alarm system is assessed separately from the mechanical installations; the control panel, detectors, alarm elements, warning devices and scenario functions are checked using appropriate tests. Any points that are non-operational, inaccessible or do not comply with the project, along with the test results, are reported on a system-by-system and location-by-location basis.

Projects are sought for the control of fire protection systems and detection and warning systems; the authorised personnel, methods and scope of reporting for both systems are assessed separately.
