Which points are inspected in pressure equipment?
Scope; determined by the type, volume, operating pressure, fluid, design characteristics and accessibility of the equipment. The body, welded joints and connection areas; signs of corrosion, deformation and leakage; pressure gauges, safety valves and equipment-specific protective fittings are examined together.
Depending on the equipment and the applicable standard, visual inspection, thickness measurement, hydrostatic testing or suitable alternative methods are utilised. The method used, test conditions, measurement results, areas that could not be inspected and findings are reported in conjunction with the equipment’s identification details.

The inspection interval and the method to be applied shall be determined in accordance with the table in Annex III listing the pressure equipment, its technical specifications, manufacturer’s details and operating conditions.
